Team thrashes LSE WFC 18-0 in national football championship.

KARACHI: Punjab registered a massive 18-0 win against LSE WFC in the 9th National Women Football Championship at the Fame Football Ground in Lahore yesterday.

Sofia Mohammad scored 10 goals for Punjab whereas Shayan, Asma and Zarmeen scored two goals each.

Punjab concluded their Group B matches as the top team from Lahore with nine points after winning all of their three games.

Meanwhile, Wapda thrashed Vehari WFC 4-0 and finished the qualification round in second position.

In another match, Balochistan United WFC defeated Diya FC 1-0 and secured top position in Group A. They will be among the top eight teams in the competition and will play the final round later this month.

Elsewhere, Young Rising Star WFC defeated Army 1-0 in their last Group C match in Rawalpindi. Both sides qualified for the next round.
