Family feud: Man beaten up by wife, daughter dies

A man allegedly beaten up three days ago by his wife and daughter for coming home late at night died at a hospital on Thursday.
Police said the deceased, Muhammad Ashraf, 59, a resident of Chichawatni, had been married to Parveen, for 36 years. Siddique, a neighbour, said the couple often quarrelled when Ashraf returned home late.
On Monday, he said Parveen and her daughter beat up Ashraf with a wooden spoon when he returned home at 11pm. “Ashraf died at a hospital in Multan on Thursday.” SHO Tahir Ijaz said police had arrested two suspects, both relatives of Parveen. He said Parveen and her daughter were still missing. Ijaz said the two suspects had confessed to helping Parveen in killing her husband.
