Accused of rioting : SHC confirms bail to Khalid Lund
Anti-Terrorism Court had issued arrest warrants of Lund and others on the charges of attacking the Ubauro civil court.

A division bench of Sindh High Court Sukkur confirmed the bail of former minister of state defence, Khalid Khan Lund, on Thursday. The Anti-Terrorism Court, Sukkur had issued arrest warrants of Khalid Lund and others on the charges of attacking the Ubauro civil court on May 14, decrying large-scale rigging in the general elections. Barrister Zameer Ghumro told The Express Tribune that the court had granted an interim bail to Khalid Lund more than a month ago. The division bench, headed by Justice Mohammad Ali Mazhar, heard the plea and confirmed the bail, he said, adding that Khalid Lund was not part of the protest demonstration as he had been accused. Khalid Lund lost the NA-200 [Ghotki] seat in the May 11 general elections to Pakistan Peoples Party’s Sardar Ali Gohar Mahar.
