Muslim FC rise to second spot in PPFL

Team defeats NBP by solitary goal to register sixth win.

KARACHI: Chaman’s Muslim FC defeated NBP 1-0 to take second place in the Pakistan Premier Football League yesterday. Muslim FC registered their sixth win of the season against NBP as they took an early lead with Muhammad Tahir’s goal in the sixth minute of the match.

NBP failed to equalise, losing their second spot to Muslim FC, who now have 21 points.

Meanwhile, Afghan FC recorded a second consecutive win as they defeated HBL 1-0.

Both sides played a goalless first-half until Afghan FC’s Naimatullah scored the winner in the 62nd minute.

Afghan FC replaced ZTBL in eighth position with 15 points while HBL remained in the seventh spot with 16 points.

In another match, Navy defeated Pak-Afghan Clearing Agency 1-0, to register their fourth win of the season. Muhammad Amin scored the solitary goal of the match in the 54th minute.
