Will stop Nato supplies if drone attack occurs during Taliban talks: Imran

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan stated that his party would bring Nato supplies to a halt if a drone attack is conducted during the Taliban peace talks, Express News reported on Thursday.
He added that "there is a resolution being brought in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Assembly regarding this."
Previous threat by PTI to choke Nato supplies
Earlier on October 29, PTI had similarly threatened to choke Nato supply routes to Afghanistan if the federal government failed to announce a schedule of talks with the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) by November 7.
The issue of halting Nato supply is at the top of the agenda in the party core committee meeting on Sunday, November 2. PTI is deliberating as to how to mount pressure on the centre to compel the US to shut down its highly controversial drone programme.
“Imran Khan will deliver the final ultimatum to stop drone strikes on November 2 — if it remains unaddressed then the government will be facing public wrath soon,” PTI Deputy Secretary General Imran Ismai had warned.
Nawaz's visit to Washington unsuccessful
Imran stated that “Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif treated the United States President Obama as a sahib (sir) during his visit to Washington.”
Further commenting on this he said that “government officials have become used to begging like beggars.”
The chairman also said that “no concessions were given to Nawaz Sharif during his visit.”
He commented that “the government was not able to stop the drone attacks during the peace negotiations with the Taliban.”
He added, “Even though every political party wants to proceed with the peace talks government has not been able to go ahead with them.”
Corruption and tax evasion
Imran also stated that Pakistan can never become a viable country until corruption and tax evasion is stopped.
He further said, “70% of the parliamentarians in the Assembly are not giving tax.”
“The top politicians and bureaucrats should declare their assets,” the chairman added.
He remarked that “Pakistan Tehreek-e-insaf’s party members have declared their assets and other politicians should do the same.”
Elections
Imran said that delimitation in Punjab is done with political motives, aiming to break PTI’s vote bank. He said his party has challenged the move in court.
Accusing PML-N of pre-poll rigging, Imran said the party should learn how to play with neutral umpires.
He further alleged that the hearings of rigging-related cases are delayed unnecessarily.
Referring to rigging in Karachi during May 11 elections, Imran said it was the “mother of all rigging.”
