
With the match looking likely to end as a draw, KESC’s striker Muhammad Rasool scored two goals in as many minutes of stoppage time to seal a dramatic late win.
With the win, KESC retained the top spot with 28 points after playing 12 matches, while Lyallpur FC lost their seventh match of the season.
In another match, ZTBL shocked KPT 2-1 at the KPT Stadium to register their third win of the season.
KPT’s Muhammad Khan scored the opening goal in the 15th minute, before ZTBL’s Naeem Iqbal equalised nine minutes later. However, it was ZTBL who had the last laugh as Hanif Khan sealed the victory with an 85th-minute winner.
In the third match of the day, PIA defeated Baloch FC 2-1.
