Massive traffic jam: Transporters block Sharah-e-Faisal for an hour
Police said the furniture market transporters were receiving extortion threats against which they took to the roads.

The city’s main artery, Sharah-e-Faisal, remained clogged for more than an hour during peak hours on Tuesday evening as transporters protested at Nursery.
According to the traffic police, the protest continued for an hour resulting in a massive traffic jam on Sharah-e-Faisal and other roads connected to it. People who were going back to their homes from work remained stranded in long queues for over an hour.
The Tipu Sultan police said the furniture market transporters were receiving extortion threats against which they took to the roads. The protest ended after the police assured the transporters of security.
