PIA seeks help of former executives on turnaround

Committee also reviewed cash flow and ticketing along with reservation systems after feedback from departments.

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) on Tuesday said that it had included four of its former executives on a committee which was advising management on revamping airline operations and cutting losses.


According to a PIA handout, Ex-Managing Director Syed Mir Muhammad Shah, former CFOs Safdar Rizvi and Arif Majeed and ex-Director Marketing Kamran Hassan had been included in the committee.

According to a statement of PIA, the committee made recommendations on disposal and procurement of aircraft spare parts to ensure transparency. It also reviewed cash flow and ticketing along with reservation systems after feedback from departments.

PIA plane has a FLAG on tail in this picture and this FLAG should fly worldwide. PIA is FLAG Carrier. Tariq Kirmani former Managing Director PIA had removed this FLAG from PIA planes some time ago and no body stopped him. Can any one explain.

The airline was nose divined in their time too and out of this lot perhaps only Kamran Hasan did not have a bad reputation Old is definitely not gold here.
