KARACHI: Police on Thursday recovered three bodies from an area near Jinnah International Airport in Karachi on Thursday.

According to sources, the bullet ridden bodies were blindfolded when they were found. According to Express 24/7 reporter Shehryar Mirza the three men were City District Government Karachi (CDGK) employees.

Another man was also gunned down in Pirabad, while a fifth body was recovered from Mianwali Colony and the sixth in Orangi Town. Police have registered cases, while investigations are underway.

Karachi has been a regular witness to violence and target killings, while the government has so far failed to curb killings. Parties in the coalition, Awami National Party (ANP) and the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), have also been swapping allegations over the unrest in Karachi.

The National Assembly on September 29 had adopted aunanimous resolution asking the government to take ‘pragmatic steps’ in order to control target killings in parts of the country, especially Karachi.
