Missing persons: Dr Malik has disappointed people, says Wasay
Says CM could have given a positive statement instead of expressing helplessness.
QUETTA:
Opposition leader in the Balochistan Assembly and senior leader of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Maulana Wasay has said Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch has disappointed the people of Balochistan with his statement that he has failed to address the issue of missing persons.
Addressing a news conference at his chamber at Balochistan Assembly building, former senior Minister Wasay said Dr Malik on the floor of Balochistan Assembly promised that he will tender his resignation if he failed to address the issue of missing persons. “He could have given a positive statement instead of express his helplessness,” he told the reporters.
Maulana Wasay, who was part and parcel of former President Musharraf and PPP government led governments in Balochistan, said the past two governments were way better than this National Party led government in terms of development and recovery of missing persons.
“They could not form a government despite a lapse of five months. There were differences between the parties and within the parties as everyone wanted lucrative ministries,” he told the reporters.
He said they are already divided in distribution of ministries that is why it will be difficult for them to address a single problem of the province. “Dr Malik should fulfill his responsibility,” he said
