The Anti-Terrorism Court-II gave life imprisonment sentences to two kidnappers on Monday.
The kidnappers, who had abducted a professor and his driver for ransom, were charged with kidnapping and possession of illegal arms and were also fined Rs25,000 each.
They had kidnapped Iftikhar Aabdi, a professor of Hamdard University, along with his driver on November 16, 2011, and had demanded a ransom of Rs 20 million.
The kidnappers were arrested from Gulshan-e-Maymar four days after the incident and presented in court.
