Ensuring peace: Security to be increased for Muharram

Chaudhry decided to continue all current security programmes while also making special arrangements for Muharram.

KARACHI:
Sindh Chief Secretary Muhammad Ejaz Chaudhry has emphasised the need for increased efforts to maintain security in Muharram without sacrificing the month’s sanctity and significance. Chaudhry, who was presiding over a meeting attended by security officials, decided to continue all current security programmes while also making special arrangements for Muharram. Chaudhry called for uninteruppted supply of water, power and better sewerage faciltiies and also alerted the traffic police about the expected increase in traffic flow.
