KJo continues to shower SRK with praise
According to the film-maker, no honour is enough for Shahrukh.
Karan Johar and Shahrukh Khan’s emotional bond just seems to be getting deeper by the day. The celebs clearly don’t hold back when it comes to praising each other. SRK was recently named India’s Most Attractive Personality in a survey conducted by the Trust Research Advisory, to which KJo responded saying, “He is dynamic and attractive. He is one of the finest actors this country has seen. No matter how many honours he receives, they’re just less.” We get it Karan — you’re a fan!
SRK has successfully completed 25 years in Bollywood and on November 2, King Khan will celebrate his 48th birthday. And, of course, Karan could not keep the praise to himself. “He has reached the pinnacle [of his career] and I think his love for his fans just continues to grow with every passing year,” said the film-maker, according to IANS.
Karan and Shahrukh’s journey officially began with the former’s directorial debut Kuch Kuch Hota Hai in 1998. They later worked together in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna and My Name Is Khan. And last year, the two co-produced Student of the Year.
But apparently, the first time they met on set was not in 1998. SRK was shooting for his blockbuster Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge and Karan was also in the movie — he had a small role, assisted the film’s director Aditya Chopra and was also responsible for selecting SRK’s costumes. Karan had decided then and there that he would soon cast King Khan in a movie of his and in 1998, with Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, his dream came true. The movie was a box office success.
