Agriculture secretary: Dr Munir takes over as commissioner
The commissioner’s office had already been sent in 584 suggestions and objections by October 24.

Agriculture Secretary Dr Ijaz Munir assumed the additional charge of commissioner for Lahore division here on Thursday. The commissioner is the delimitation authority for the division and is tasked with deciding the fate of objections and suggestions regarding the new union council boundaries being drawn up for the local elections. Dr Munir is to hear objections and proposals in this regard from October 26 to November 1. The commissioner’s office had already been sent in 584 suggestions and objections by October 24. Hearings regarding the proposed delimitation of Kasur district will be held on October 26, for Sheikhupura on October 28 and 29, for Nankana Saheb on October 30, and for Lahore on October 31 and November 1.
