
Chasing 157, PQA had scored 62 for two at the close of play.
Earlier, seamer Imran Ali claimed an eight-wicket haul to help SNGPL secure a crucial 46-run first-innings lead.
PQA resumed the day at 85 for four in reply to SNGPL’s 178 and failed to handle Imran on a green top wicket as they bundled out for 132. Imran gave away 42 runs for his wickets.
However, SNGPL were given a dose of their own medicine by PQA’s potent pace attack comprising Mohammad Sami, Mohammad Talha, Sohail Khan and Abdur Rauf.
SNGPL’s batting line-up was bowled out for 110 in 36 overs. Sohail claimed four wickets while Sami and Talha bagged three and two scalps respectively.
In another match, Rana Navedul Hasan claimed four wickets to bowl Wapda to a 126-run lead against ZTBL at the Marghazar Ground in Islamabad.
ZTBL were bowled out for 185 against Wapda’s 311 with Yasir Hameed making 70 off 106.
Wapda then built their lead to 182 as they ended the day on 56 for no loss in their second innings.
Meanwhile, in a closely fought contest, HBL levelled SBP’s score of 226 courtesy of Ehsan Adil’s 40-run unbeaten knock down the order at the Diamond Ground in Islamabad.
SBP then went on to score 81 for two in 21 overs at the close of play.
