AFP to hold open trials for junior team
Squad for South Asian athletics championship to include ‘raw talent’.

The Athletics Federation of Pakistan (AFP) has decided to give an even chance to junior athletes by holding open trials to select the teams for the 2nd South Asian Junior Athletics Championship today at the Jinnah Stadium in Islamabad.
The AFP has been working hard to find raw talent that can be groomed into top athletes so they can take the sport to a new level in Pakistan.
“AFP is holding open trials for the selection of the national junior athletics team for participation in the 2nd South Asian Junior Athletics Championships scheduled to be held from November 10-12 at Ranchi, Jharkhand [India],” said AFP Secretary Mohammad Zafar.
“The trials will be held on October 25 [today] at the Jinnah Stadium, Pakistan Sports Complex in Islamabad starting at 9am. The athletes under the age of 20 years are eligible to appear in the selection process.”
