Drugs Recovered: PCG find stash of heroin at hideout

The raid was conducted at a hideout in Gulshan-e-Maymar on a tip-off received by PCG.

KARACHI:
The Pakistan Coast Guard (PCG) seized around 25 kilogrammes of heroin during a raid conducted on Saturday. The raid was conducted at a hideout in Gulshan-e-Maymar on a tip-off received by PCG. The heroin was found hidden inside an empty water tank in the deserted compound. While no arrests have been made, a PCG spokesperson revealed that a high-profile gang of drug peddlers is their primary suspect. The heroin is believed to have been stored so that it could later be smuggled abroad, where it would fetch a hefty sum at an international drug market.
