Rising insecurity: Security official gunned down in SW

A security official was killed when unidentified militants opened fire at him in Angoor Adda in South Waziristan near the Pak-Afghan border. According to an official of the security forces, militants opened fire at a check post on Wednesday, injuring the victim severely. The official said militants escaped after the incident, while security forces rushed to the site and surrounded the area. The injured was being shifted to a hospital but died on the way. A search operation was launched in the areas adjacent to the check post, but no arrests were made till this report was filed.
