President South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI), Vikramgit Singh Sahney on Tuesday said that constrained bilateral relations were the reason behind low trade between Pakistan and India.
He said this while discussing current state of affairs with Vice President SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry Pakistan chapter, Iftikhar Ali Malik.
Sahney said that there were hurdles to economic integration which includes high tariff rates and non-tariff barriers, and inadequate infrastructure for trade. Sahney said that currently trade is $2 billion per year which can be increase by 10 times.
