Targeted killings: ASWJ leader shot dead
The body bore several torture marks and was found in a gunny bag.
KARACHI:
A leader of the Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat (ASWJ) was shot dead in an act of targeted killing in Gulberg on Tuesday. The deceased, identified as 42-year-old Abdul Hameed, son of Fajruddin, was sitting at his milk shop in Gulberg Block-5 when the incident occurred. According to police officials, at least four armed men were behind the incident. The deceased was shot at least four times with 9mm pistols. The ASWJ spokesperson revealed that the deceased was associated with the Kauser Niazi Colony unit and was reportedly killed over sectarian basis. Separately, the body of a young man was found from near Crown Cinema. The body bore several torture marks and was found in a gunny bag.
