Job (not) well done: CCPO unhappy with police performance

Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Chaudhary Shafiq on Monday warned policemen against registering false cases.


He said station house officers found registering false cases would be punished.



He was presiding a meeting to review the crime situation in the Iqbal Town division at Qila Gujjar Singh.


Operations DIG Muhammad Tahir Rai, Investigations DIG Zulfiqar Hameed, Operations SSP Jawad Qamar, Investigations SSP Abdual Rab, and Iqbal Town operations SP were also present at the meeting.


A police spokesman said the CCPO also warned policemen against misbehaving with people at police stations. “These officials give a bad name to the entire department,” he said.


The CCPO penalised police officials who had failed to arrest proclaimed offenders.


The CCPO admonished the Samanabad DSP and the Millat Park SHO for poor performance. He also expressed dissatisfaction with the performance of the Iqbal Town division police.
