Govt extends holidays for Eidul Azha

The holidays will now be observed from October 15 to October 18.

ISLAMABAD: The federal government announced on Monday that public holidays on account of Eidul Azha will be extended by a day.

According to a notification issued by Interior Ministry, official holidays will now be observed from October 15 to October 18.

“It’s notified for general information that October 18 (Friday) will also be a public holiday on occasion of Eidul-Azha,” read the notification.

Last week, the government had announced Eidul-Azha holidays to be be observed from October 15 to 17.

All government offices, autonomous and semi-autonomous bodies, corporations and local councils will remain closed.

With the announcement of Friday as an additional holiday, offices in the country will now reopen on Monday, October 21.

The interior ministry had announced earlier that tight security will be maintained during the religious festival.

HI guys! I could not find any notification of extended holiday. i checked interior ministry website and tried information ministry website as well.both are silent. the websites are either not updated or govt did not issue a press release or proper notification. I will be grateful if you could please refer some authentic link having such updated notification.
