Sectarian Harmony: IGP meets with Shia delegation
The delegation condemned sectarian violence and promised cooperation with the police.

“We can overcome terrorism by promoting sectarian harmony. The religious scholars should join hands with the police to maintain law and order,” Inspector General of Police Khan Baig said on Monday.
He was meeting with a 10-member delegation of Shia leaders.
Members of the delegation included Alhaj Haider Ali Mirza, Syed Nasir Abbas Sherazi, Allama Abdul Khaliq Asadi, Allama Hassan Hamdani, Safeer Abbas Shahani, Syed Khurram Abbas Naqvi, Rai Nasir Ali, Rana Majid Ali, Muzahir Abbas and Asad Abbas Naqvi.

The delegates requested the IGP to include their nominees in peace committees to promote unity, harmony and brotherhood.
