LAHORE:
Two people were killed when a two-storey house collapsed in Shahdara on Sunday. Rescue 1122 officials told The Express Tribune that the roof of two rooms on the first floor had caved in. They said the debris had caused the ground floor’s roof to collapse as well. Muhammad Khalid and his wife Nighat had rented the house to Shehzad Meraj and Shahbaz alias Goga, who ran an embroidery workshop on the ground floor. All four people were buried beneath the debris and were evacuated by the rescuers. Shahzad died on the spot while Shahbaz succumbed to his injuries at Mayo Hospital.
