An improvised explosive device (IED) detonated and another was safely defused in two separate areas of North Waziristan on Sunday. Fortunately, no human loss was reported. A security official said the first IED was planted on Dattakhel Road, which exploded. The second, he said, was defused from Patisey Adda area, Mir Ali. A curfew was imposed in the area after the incidents for an indefinite period.
