Diabetes Camp: Seminar organised at Indus Hospital

KARACHI: There are more than seven million diabetics in Pakistan. The figure, however, is expected to double in the near future if appropriate steps are not taken to prevent the disease, according to Danish Ambassador Jesper M Sorensen.Speaking at an awareness seminar, Sorensen said that the most important prevention step is spreading awareness. "Many people who suffer from diabetes in Pakistan, or are in the risk group, have limited knowledge about the existing possibilities for treatment and prevention," said Ambassador Sorensen.
