FAISALABAD:

An eighteen-year-old woman on Friday shot her father dead.

Pir Mahal police said Ramzana Bibi, a resident of B-Plot, Pir Mahal, had been arrested and had confessed to killing her father.

Police said Ramzana had told them that her father had poisoned her mother, Ayesha Bibi, 10 years ago.

“My father wanted to marry my aunt, Salma Bibi… he married her after he killed my mother,” she told the police.

Ramzana said she was unable to save her mother at the time.

“I grew up thinking of revenge… I tried to forget it but never could,” she said.

She told police that on Friday night she had given her father sleeping pills. “I shot him with a pistol while he slept.” She said she had killed him “without any remorse.” “I’m relieved. I could no more bear the pain of my mother’s killing,” she said.

Pir Mahal SHO said police were waiting for the post mortem examination report to complete the case against the girl.
