LHC complaints: Fresh report sought in acid attack case

The complaint cell directed the judge to send another report within a week.

LAHORE:
The Lahore High Court on Saturday directed the Toba Tek Singh district and sessions judge to submit a fresh report, including progress in police investigation, in an acid attack case. The LHC passed the orders through its complaint cell. Muhammad Mushtaq’s wife Farhat Bibi and her accomplices had thrown acid at him, the complainants had said. He was badly burnt and taken to Toba Tek Singh District Headquarters Hospital. The district and sessions judge had submitted a report, stating that a case had been registered with Rajana police and two people had been arrested. The complaint cell directed the judge to send another report within a week with update on the status of police investigation.
