Check and balance: DCOs directed to monitor prices

Chief Secretary Javed Aslam said no compromise on the quality of edible items should be made.

LAHORE:

Chief Secretary Javed Aslam on Saturday directed the district coordination officers to ensure display of price lists at vegetable and fruits shops. 

Aslam was addressing a meeting of the district coordination officers. He said no compromise on the quality of edible items should be made.  He said steps should be taken to ensure sale of essential items at stipulated prices.

Aslam also directed them to monitor the anti-polio campaigns. He said a survey should be conducted to assess the performance of polio vaccination teams of the Health Department. He said all children below the age of five should be vaccinated.
