Lal Masjid case: Musharraf files bail application
Musharraf was rearrested on October 10 and court had sent him two weeks judicial remand.

Former president Gen (retd) Pervez Musharraf on Saturday filed a request for bail before the District and Sessions court in the Lal Masjid case.
The request was filed by Advocate Ilyas Siddiqui, the counsel for Musharraf.
Siddiqui said that the Aabpara police had registered an FIR against Musharraf for initiating the Lal Masjid operation, despite the fact that he was not directly involved.
Siddiqui stated that the court had already sent the former dictator on two weeks judicial remand. The court issued notice to state and sought reply till October 18.
Musharraf was rearrested on October, 10 for initiating Lal Masjid operation in 2007 and court had sent him two weeks judicial remand. The former president had already obtained bail in Benazir Bhutto murder case and judge’s detention case pending in Anti Terrorism Court (ATC).
The judicial magistrate on October 11 had sent him on 14-days judicial remand on his farm house which was already declared as a sub jail where former president had been confined to since the last six months.
Also, the Aabpara Police had registered a First Information Report (FIR) in September this year on the direction of Islamabad High Court (IHC) in response to a complaint filed by Haroon Rasheed, son of Ghazi Abdul Rasheed, deputy cleric of Lal Masjid, who was killed in the 2007 operation at the mosque along with his mother.
