Malala Yousafzai didn’t win the Nobel Peace Prize, but she is still an inspiration. Here’s what some celebrities had to say on Twitter:

Malala Yousafzai: They can only shoot a body, they cannot shoot my dreams. They shot me because they wanted to tell me that, ‘We want to kill you and to stop you campaigning’, but they did the biggest mistake: they inured me, and they told me through that attack, that even death is supporting me, even death does not want to kill me. Aisam ul Haq  @AisamulhaqQ2m: Nothing changed in my life except this — weakness, fear and hopelessness died. Malala. #ProudPakistani Continue striving in what u believe in. #Noblepeaceprize should have been Malala for her bravado in the face of death and came out with more zing to press on her struggle. Just as Obama agrees “Education will be the passport and currency of the 21st century” #Nobel4Malala

@SelenaGomez: I stand with Malala because there should be more young women like her. She is MY role model.

Aminah Haq  @LaHaq: Truly shameful that #MalalaYousafzai is a global hero & inspiration to millions yet we shun her & have proclaimed her as a fraud. Need I say more? For the longest time, we’ve been a nation without a real hero, someone we can all root for & b proud of. #MalalaYousafzai is my hero. Luv u Malala!

Rizwan Beyg  @RizwanBeyg: Which of the Nobel Peace prize nominees have actually taken a bullet for standing up for their beliefs aside for Malala?

Salman ahmad  @sufisal: I’ll support Malala over the Taliban or Pak fake liberals any day :) #Malala4Nobel. If there’s anyone who truly deserves the Nobel Peace prize, it’s Malala.

A moon shines evermore bright against the darkest nights. For all the dark and false propaganda of Talibans, covert -Talibans , E-Talibans,Taliban apologists and supporters, Malala shines brightly the more.Light can never be extinguished by the darkest of nights. The night had its end presently ,and Malala will write a new history of equality and education in the world. It is a travesty that Little girls must take on Taliban,as the impotent and scared men lock themselves up in their houses and citadels and fire verbal bullets at them.Pakistan by ignoring and calumniating her had shamed itself in the eyes of the world.
