Price control: ‘Magistrates not doing their jobs’

The sale of petrol and diesel at higher prices than market rate will not be tolerated, says DCO.

JHANG: District Coordination Officer (DCO) Maqbool Ahmed Dhawla on Thursday expressed his dissatisfaction over the performance of price control magistrates.

Presiding over a meeting of district price control committee here on Thursday, the DCO directed the price control magistrates to perform their duties accordingly to ensure availability of daily use items at fixed rates. He said the price lists should be displayed prominently at the shops. Dhawla said the sale of petrol and diesel at higher prices than market rate would not be tolerated. He directed the officers concerned to take action against profiteers.
