Red Bull breakdancer cherishes stay in Pakistan
Ali 'Lilou' Ramdani says he saw a picture of Pakistan 'far, far from the images portrayed in the media'.

Ali 'Lilou' Ramdani, the two-time champion of 'Red Bull BC One', an annual international breakdancing competition organised by the energy drink company Red Bull, wrote in his blog that he highly enjoyed his visit to Pakistan and the "unique life experience" it had offered, hoping he would come back here again in the future.
Red Bull BC One is the biggest one-on-one competition for 'b-boys' (breakdancers) on the global stage. Every year, thousands of dancers across the globe vie for a chance to perform at the World Finals.
Ali Ramdani, better known by his stage name 'Lilou', is a French-Algerian b-boy who won the finals twice, once in 2005 and again in 2009.
In a recent blog post, Lilou commented on his visit to Pakistan this summer past. He recalled his highly wonderful experience that illuminated a vastly different image of the country than portrayed in the media.
"I just came back from a destination where Hip Hop and dance have only appeared in the cultural landscape in the past few years," Lilou wrote about Pakistan.
"Everyone knows this country, or has heard about it in the news. Based on my personal experience, however, what I felt from the time I spent there was far, far from the images portrayed in the media."
He said "Pakistan is a country that has given me yet another unique life experience, and God willing, it’s not the last time I will go there."
