Last rites: Salu employee, brother killed in road accident
The bus driver, however, escaped in his vehicle.

An employee of the Shah Abdul Latif University (Salu), Khairpur, along with his brother, was killed in a road accident at the National Highway near the old custom checkpost in Khairpur late Wednesday night.
Salu assistant for students welfare officer, Mukhtiar Hussain Shaikh, and his younger brother, Iqbal Hussain Shaikh, was on their way to Babarloi from Sukkur, when a speeding passenger bus hit the motorcycle.
The accident killed Iqbal on the spot, while the Salu officer was severely injured. The bus driver, however, escaped in his vehicle.
Mukhtiar succumbed to his injuries as he was being rushed to the hospital. The bodies were shifted to the Civil Hospital, Khairpur and later handed over to the family.
When The Express Tribune contacted the head constable at Babarloi police station, Faiz Mohammad Phulpoto, he said that the bus driver had managed to escape along with the coach.
He said the police was carrying out raids to arrest the driver but no one had turned up to register an FIR till the filing of this report.
