In cold blood: Drug addict arrested for killing mother

GUJRANWALA:

A drug addict was arrested on Wednesday for killing his mother after she apparently refused to give him money. Police said he confessed to the killing. They said 22-year-old Muhammad Amir of Khotray village in Wahndu had hit his mother in the face and neck with a shovel. His uncle called the police and Amir was arrested. At the police station, Amir told police that he was not in his senses when he killed his mother.

Separately in Shujaabad, a drug addict allegedly cut his wife’s hair and burnt it following an argument. Police said he also tried to cut her nose and ears, but some neighbours rescued her.
