SUKKUR:
The eight persons, belonging to the Chandio tribe who were killed in an armed clash in Warrah on Tuesday evening, were buried amid tight security on Wednesday.

After the killings, the exchange of fire between the two groups continued and only stopped after the intervention of elders from both sides.

Only after the firing stopped did the police reach the spot and shifted the bodies to various hospitals for postmortem. The bodies of Manzoor, Tufail and Ali Jan and Mubeen, were shifted to Civil Hospital, Qamber-Shahdadkot, while the bodies of their rivals, Rasool Bux, Taj Muhammad, Akhtiar and Mashooq, were taken to Warrah taluka hospital to avoid further clash.

After the post-mortem, the bodies were handed over to their respective families. Manzoor, Tufail, Ali Jan and Mubeen were buried in Mangoli graveyard situated in the mountain region while the others were buried in Basharat graveyard near Warrah.

MPA Nawab Khan Chandio, who is in Karachi, directed his younger brother, Burhan Khan Chandio, to control the situation. Two separate cases have been registered at Ghaibi Dero police station but no arrests have been made yet.

The dispute between the two groups of the Chandio clans, the Radhani Chandio and the Kohegani Chandio, started about two years ago when a member of the latter group, Irshad, was killed over a minor issue and the charges for his murder were leveled against the Kohegani Chandios.
