Crime round-up: Violence in the city claims four lives

At least four people, including two political workers, were killed in separate acts of violence in the city on Wednesday.



Two political workers were shot dead while another was wounded in Korangi. The deceased were identified as Saeed Ahmed, 40, son of Mohammad Buksh and Amir Kamran, 35, while the injured as Mohammad Ayub. According to SHO Malik Mazhar, the victims were associated with the Hazara Organising Committee, a sub-wing of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement.

Separately, the watchman of a private school was shot dead in an act of targeted killing in New Kumhar Wara, Lyari. The deceased was identified as Nisar Ahmed, 45. Police officials said that the Lyari gang war elements were behind the incident. In another act of targeted killing, 26-year-old Janan Ali was shot dead near his residence in Gulshan-e-Bunair, Landhi. Police officials said that the deceased used to work at a private factory.
