Two constables identified as Amir Khan, 48, and Shabbir Alam, 35, were deployed at a police picket in the SITE. They were going to a nearby restaurant for dinner when two armed men riding a motorcycle shot them and escaped, District West SSP Irfan Baloch said. Khan died at the spot while Alam succumbed to his injuries during treatment at a local hospital. In a separate incident, a police informant was gunned down by armed men within the limits of a police station. In another incident, an alleged criminal was shot dead in an act of target killing.
