KARACHI:

The Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) President Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat announced a reward of Rs1 million for KRL yesterday.

The PFF appreciated KRL’s performance at the Asian Football Confederation President’s Cup 2013. KRL became the first Pakistan club to play the final of the tournament last month in Malaysia, where they lost 1-0 to Turkmenistan’s Balkan FC.

The PFF press release said that the step should also encourage KRL and other clubs to perform well in all international competitions and strive hard to improve their game. It was KRL’s third consecutive appearance in the President’s Cup. They are also the current champions of the Pakistan Premier Football League.
