Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) is holding the show in collaboration with the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) and Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP).
The FICCI Director for Arab and South Asia Gautam Gosh made the announcement while leading a five-member delegation in a meeting with LCCI President Engineer Sohail Lashari in Lahore on Tuesday.
The Lahore Chamber's Senior Vice President Mian Tariq Misbah, Vice President Kashif Anwar, former Vice President Aftab Ahmad Vohra, Executive Committee Member Muhammad Haroon and former Executive Committee Member Rehmatullah Javaid also spoke on the occasion.
Gosh said there would be two components of the show - the first segment, where 95 Indian companies would showcase their products and the second important segment, which would be a CEOs Conference.
The incoming FICCI President would also be visiting Pakistan along with a 55-member strong CEOs delegation for the conference.
"The very objective of the CEOs Conference is to bring the businessmen of the two countries further closer, as it will be a B2B (business to business) activity between Pakistan-India businessmen," he elaborated.
LCCI's Lashari assured the FICCI team that a special committee comprising LCCI Executive Committee Members will be formed to coordinate with the FICCI to make this exhibition a success.
Lashari added that the LCCI would also ask all the SAARC countries to arrange such events in Pakistan to further cement trade ties.
The LCCI president hoped that governments of Pakistan and India would back the private sector initiatives aimed at promotion of trade.
He further stated that the Pakistani business community would also hold a similar event in India soon to reciprocate the efforts of their counterparts.

@Concerned: In Delhi's one of the most posh area, 9000sq feet of space has been given to PFDC, where they work and sell 365 days!!! If one had to purchase that land, it would come down to some 400-600 crore INR. Do that maths. 1USD=60INR It has been given on a token amount of Rs.99/- per year
@Concerned: What will you showcase? we already have fertilizers, Shawls, Carpets and medical equipment. Boosting trade is what India needs. You will have to buy it or trade with Afghanistan and Iran. Afghanistan has already closed the border with you, the Iran pipeline will not come to fruition due to Pakistan's submissive behavior to the Americans. Pakistans only option is India.We trade for money. Whats wrong in trade? maybe even Power can be exported.
@Milind: Do some internet research before posting such sweeping statement. The 'news' that Blackberry has become obsolete has become 'obsolete now'. They are back in the business with the launch of Z-10 Android smart phone with many cutting edge apps. This is to compete with iPhone and Samsung Galaxy S-4.

@Zen.One - Blackberry is obsolete now.... You're out of touch with reality again.

Here is something for you guys if you are interested in IT related development in Pakistan. I acknowledge that India is way ahead in this field but Pakistan is also doing good in some niche areas.

@Joginder: @np: @Sudhanshu Swami: India declined that offer for the railway engines. Pakistan depends a lot on road transport, be it goods or passenger traffic. Motorways of Pakistan looks a wee bit better than the Indian ones.(there aren't many)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MotorwaysofPakistan http://www.defence.pk/forums/pakistan-tourism/201433-pakistan-roads-motorways-highway-infrastructure.html
Some people are saying that Indian things are not upto the mark. Let me quote a single example. Pakistan dont have Railway Engines, Pakistan imported Chineese Engines. They proved to be a failure. Then Pakistan Asked India to rent Rail Engines. This is quite interesting point, that country who manufactured missiles dont have space research facility or even dont have Railway Engines manufactured ! At the other hand, India which made missile, have space research facility, satellite launching experience.... and have largest Railway network too.
A news for Pakistani friends
Indian manufacturers just behind Japan in quality awards! http://qz.com/.../
@anon: how are you accessing websites in india?does dharavi have computersss??i beg the indian govt and media to please open some quality websites for desperate indians to spend time!they are using up OUR quality space on OUR quality websites!
@raj: If Pakistan is a failed State then would it not be prudent for Indians like your self to keep away from it. Personally as far as I know majority of Pakistanis has no desire to emulate India , India's culture or acquire their products. What we want from Indians to leave us alone and don't be coming to our news papers to spew venom at us, we don't write hateful comments in Indian papers and don't intend to read it either.
@GhostRider: You don't buy American or European but you beg.
@raj: country who made garbage is garbage ;)
@ET: Have you moderators gone on leave? Next is what? Hurling abuses at each other?
@raj: @Pakistani: This is even better(link below). I must say some Indians are realizing the fact and openly acknowledging it. First thing first, bring in Narendra modi, he will kick-start the campaign to clean up the mess.

@anon:
Why did you also choose to stoop to such level my friend? Following your Indian friends maybe... :D
Pakistan readers make fun of Indians reading et. Its right, I really don't understand why Indians stoop to such low levels of coming to read the newspaper site of a beggar, gone case, failed, country!
@GhostRider: But then you tell people that you are Indian when you go to US and Europe .. Ashamed of your own nationality
@Aakashvaani: bwahahah!!still doesnt counter the fact that you are trolling on the supposed 'terrorist' websites cuz you are so poor you dont have quality websites of your own.you guys really are desperate for attention
@Aakashvaani: You are talking about India, I agree.
@raj:

Stop it! Out of the whole wide world we choose the worst failed and the most hated bunch of terrorists to sell, what for? This bunch of Terrorists and beggars neither have the capability nor they will get another loan to buy our products. hahaha. These loosers are good for jehadi blow ups only.
Welcome Indian businessmen. For those who dont know, Pakistan and India both exhibited their products last year in Karachi-Lahore and Delhi-Mumbai.
Pakistanis should boycott all such Indian shows, until India ends its occupation of Kashmir and stops terrorist activities in Pakistan. Say no to India!
@Idol - so its ok to ban the garbage but let piracy and smuggling flourish, as you do with our movies.
There should be no borders between Pakistan and India, as in Europe people should be allowed to walk across or drive across, that is the way to live, that is what life is about, moving freely, thinking freely, doing things freely, as opposed to living in perpetual fear and hate, are nations have to learn to appreciate each other.
Folks may be interested to know that for the last 3 or 4 years at least, when the weather turns cool, a "Made in Pakistan" exhibit is held in various cities in India. I've seen a couple in Chandigarh, there was one in Shimla. And last year i think there was one in Delhi.
The first one i saw in Chandigarh was held in the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) hall, where space was a problem. Products on offer were mainly garments, onyx ware, handicrafts and a sprinkling of industrial goods like ply wood and cement. Prices were very reasonable and there was a huge crowd, esp at the garments shops. The second time i saw the MAde in Pakistan exhibit in Chandigarh, was in Himachal Bhavan. This place is more centrally located but parking was some problem. The crowds were still huge tho' prices had gone up somewhat sharply.
I missed the Shimla exhibit because i had to go out of town. But i hear the response was same as in Chandigarh and ladies i know expertly sized up other ladies and knowingly said, "Isne bhi Pakistani exhibition se khardeeda hai. Pucca!"
And why do i always visit these trade fairs/exhibitions? Same reason i keep visiting this ET site: want to know our neighbours a little more. Like it or hate it, we've stuck with each other as neighbours as long as geography lasts.
Moderator,
Are you even there?
By reading comments , it almost feel like being on youtube rather than ET.
@Zen: Your comment is offensive but it kept Silent night '' speechless silent ''.
@Siddiqui:
Does this made in India show will showcase the suicide jackets supplied to Tajiks, Uzbeks and TTP talibans, and will they showcase the IED’s(Improvised explosive device) again supplied to TTP mullah Fazal in kunnnar, Afghanistan which recently killed Pakistan army Major General Sanaullah Niazi, with a modern device. I very much doubt it.
Well that is ISI's speciality and if you really interested the talk to someone from ISI..
@Concerned:
I think Pakistan do come to International trade fair held in Delhi every year. If Pakistan Doesn't want then that is a different case.
http://www.thehindu.com/news/cities/Delhi/crafts-and-cuisine-from-pakistan-for-trade-fair/article4076775.ece
if you look at all the indian online news website, they represent the general state of india! unplanned low standard;websites! no wonder indians cant find good websites to troll on so end up on quality pakistani websites like ET. sigh.
@faizaan: Yeah right!
@Silent Night: "What’s the need for this? Don’t we get a “Made-in-India” show almost every day when a bomb goes off?" So how is the performance of these products?
@Siddiqui: Yes they will include all that. The reason is that by APC calling TTP our brothers, we can sell anything that TTP uses.
@Someone: Can you comment on the following link: http://tribune.com.pk/story/424180/toilet-facilities–a-luxury-for-most-pakistanis/

@Idol: Garbage meant for only garbage people
@Someone: What technologically advanced ! The country do not have any scope on advanced products, neither a buyer.
@Someone: it's worse..Like a giant septic tank
@someone: @raj: At least it hasn’t become a giant toilet.. like you.. lol. Garbage can be cleaned. Toilet always remains toilet. But a toilet can be clean. It can be hygienic. Can u imagine such thing of a garbage dump which is now Pakistan?
Does this made in India show will showcase the suicide jackets supplied to Tajiks, Uzbeks and TTP talibans, and will they showcase the IED's(Improvised explosive device) again supplied to TTP mullah Fazal in kunnnar, Afghanistan which recently killed Pakistan army Major General Sanaullah Niazi, with a modern device. @pakis......india is seven times bigger but population is 5 times only..keep ur small land clean and pure.......india is not pure like pakistan........go and do hum do hamare 25......things........
@Silent Night: You absolutely nailed it...right on the dot.
There isn't anything worthwhile made in India that Pakistan could benefit from. Pakistan should focus on imports from technologically advanced countries
@Silent Night:
Really? Then why are we trying to open offices of these Indians agents in Pakistan? Someone should explain that to Imran Khan.
@Idol: Alas the Lahore Chamber of commerce and Industry is keen to bring the Indian products in Pakistani Market Mr idol you use it once and will stick to this garbage.
@raj: At least it hasn't become a giant toilet.. like you.. lol. Garbage can be cleaned. Toilet always remains toilet.
@Latif: No one can force you to buy. If you think the goods are not of the quality that is acceptable to you, you can choose to not buy.
@raj; why are you always lurking around the newspaper site, of that supposed failed state-are your news websites not worthy anymore?(apparently so,given the huge number of Indians commenting on this web site)
will be full of low grade crap quality stuff. We buy european or american never Indian.
I dont think India will be willing to allow Pakistani traders to showcase their products to the Indian markets, then are we allowing India to do so in Pakistan???
@Idol: currently ur country is like 1 big garbage....failed state :)
Great, now all the cheap as second-rate Indian products will be flooding our markets. These are even worse than Chinese imports.
What's the need for this? Don't we get a "Made-in-India" show almost every day when a bomb goes off?
Thanks but no thanks. Keep your garbage on eastern side of our border.
