Engine fire: PIA launches investigation
The engine of the aircraft is also being assessed by Civil Aviation Authority.

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) is conducting a thorough investigation into the incident of flight PK-213 Karachi-Dubai, a PIA spokesman said on Monday. In a statement issued, the spokesperson said a team of dedicated PIA engineers is in the process of minutely checking the aircraft engine, which developed a fault during the flight on Sunday night operated by A310 aircraft. The engine of the aircraft is also being assessed by Civil Aviation Authority, he added. He said the findings will be shared with General Electric for their input as well. PIA considers the safety of its passengers, crew and aircraft as its foremost priority and therefore all aspects of the incident are being examined in sheer detail he concluded.
