He was arrested in connection to the murder of gangster Arshad Pappu.
A court in Karachi said that bail was not an option until after witnesses recorded their statements.
Alleged Lyari gangster Arshad Pappu, his brother, Yasir Arafat, and their confidant, Juma Shera, were killed on the night of March 16.
According to the FIR registered on the complaint of Arshad Pappu’s widow, the victims were killed after being subjected to torture and the bodies of her husband and his brother were thrown in manholes in Kalakot locality after being mutilated and alleged that the offence was committed at the behest of Shehjahan Baloch.

Unless this nation's law makers don't come up with non-negotiable and be-fitting consequential laws against criminals and dons, Karachi would continue to remain Wild West. The cost of human life would remain cheaper than a slice of bread .It is now being discovered that the target killers are chess a pawn in the chess board the queen and the kings are the ones who need to be killed to win the game. Karachites very well know who these King and Queens are, It's now the responsibility of the rangers to prove this and bring them to books. Once guilt is proven beyond doubts the dons and their cronies must be hanged without recourse to any appeals and the event live telecasted from the venue of the event. This nation now need extreme measures to restore the respect for human life or continue to get squashed like pests.

Killing, torturing, mutilating and then throwing the corpse in gutter are all most shameful acts which no sane person would ever think of. Tet we call ourselves as Muslims. It seems that religion has not influenced our behavior. We have more and more mosques yet less and less Muslims.
How did the PPP give a ticket to stand as MNA to a man with such a criminal record. What exactly are these so called public serving parties doing. Pak should rid itself of these criminal parties like PPP, PML-N, JUI-F, MQM. And let parties like PTI and other similar ones come to the fore, clean up the establishment of the corrupt elements and let the country progress at speed.
Mostly MNAs/MPAs/Senators and powerful bureaucrats in this country are murderers or the perpetrators. They have been made law-makers and protectors of law of the land. What a tragedy people of Pakistan are into.
