Bangladesh stun New Zealand again

Bangladesh race to a seven-wicket victory over New Zealand in the third One-Day International of the series.

DHAKA:
Shahriar Nafees smashed a half-century and Suhrawadi Shuvo grabbed three wickets as Bangladesh raced to a seven-wicket victory over New Zealand in the third One-Day International (ODI) of the five-match series.

Bangladesh, who had only won one of their 17 ODIs against New Zealand before this series, were given a winning start as Nafees and Imrul Keyes put on 127 runs for the opening wicket in 24.2 overs. Nafees hammered 13 fours in his 73 to help Bangladesh achieve the 174-run target with 10 overs to spare as they cruised to a 2-0 lead.

Kayes  hit four boundaries in an 83-ball 50, his sixth half-century in ODIs, before becoming Nathan McCullum’s second victim of the innings. Shuvo contributed in the win as he finished with three for 14 off 10 overs to restrict the tourists to a modest total.
