Against alliances: JUI-F to fight local polls alone
JUI-F will not join any big political alliance in the upcoming local government elections.

Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam- Functional (JUI-F), Sindh chapter, will not join any big political alliance in the upcoming local government elections, said its spokesperson Muhammad Aslam Ghouri in a news statement on Friday. Ghouri said the local government system is necessary for progress and prosperity of any country and regretted that in the last five years the coalition government did not introduce the local government system. If the local government elections are not held this time, it would be contrary to the wishes of the people of Sindh, he said. He said his party has decided not to join big political alliances for local bodies elections on a larger scale but party leaders would be free to form or join local alliances at district level if it suits them.
