Awami National Party (ANP) MNA Ghulam Ahmad Bilour on Friday took the provincial government to task for failing to control the law and order situation in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P).
“The situation has never been as bad as it is currently in the province,” Bilour said at a news conference at Peshawar Press Club. “An all-parties conference had been called, but nothing came out of it as people continue to live in constant fear,” he said while referring to the recent string of attacks in the provincial capital. Bilour claimed terrorism had reached new heights in the province, while the price hike had also made life very difficult for the common man. He alleged the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had “deceived” the people through its slogan of change.
Commenting on inflation, he said though K-P produces its own electricity at 57 paisas per unit through dams, power is supplied at a much higher price. Bilour also rejected Minister of State for Water & Power Abid Sher Ali’s recent statement regarding electricity theft in K-P. “Power pilferage is being done by the industrialists of Sindh and Punjab at a much higher scale than by the people in K-P.”
He blamed the government’s wrong policies for increasing the country’s foreign loans and appealed to the federal and provincial governments to work towards making Pakistan a welfare state.
Bilour also criticised the media for not giving him adequate coverage after he defeated PTI chief Imran Khan in the by-elections. “The Punjabi-dominated media does not even give me five minutes against the hours dedicated to covering the PTI leader,” alleged Bilour. He also claimed some people wanted to bring Khan at the helm of affairs in K-P at the cost of ignoring senior politicians.

Bilour sir. I think you r saying this because there were no attacks in your parties last 5 years? You really need to take some rest sir. Its no longer your job.
