Get the look: Pop meets Punk chic

Stylist Maha Burney has become our favourite fashionista and rightly so.

Stylist Maha Burney has become our favourite fashionista and rightly so. The way she brings an edgy spin to this otherwise pretty floral ensemble, is outstanding. Spotted at Sheep’s Eid collection preview, Maha looks like she just walked off the runway. Here is a breakdown of how you can get a similar look:

Hair

With an exaggerated front puff, Maha experimented with a more punk rock look. To sport a similar hairdo backcomb the front, clip it at the back and apply some hairspray sparingly so that it stays for a good while. Straighten out the remaining hair.

Outfit

The super hot stylista is wearing a floral print top by Zara paired with zip-pocketed skinny jeans. A similar top can be easily found at places like Mango (Rs3,500) and Just Chic (Rs3,000). You can also hit the racks at local stores like Mantra and Fifth Avenue for a similar grab or just make an extra effort and get it stitched. Check out Levis or Stoneage (Rs4,500) for a similar pair of jeans.

Make-up

Maha surely knows how to keep up with trends. That fuschia lip shade and hot pink nails are uber-chic! Use Maybelline’s Super Stay lipstick in Fuschia Forever shade and OPI’s Pink Flamenco nail colour. Maha adds a rocker spin to her look by sporting kohl-rimmed eyes with girly pink shades. Line your eyes with Maybelline’s Colossal Kajal and lift those lashes with Rimmel’s Scandal Eyes Volume mascara.

Accessories and Shoes

Talk about spicing up an outfit with colourful accessories – Maha went all out by pairing her outfit with a leather belt, a bunch of neon-coloured bracelets and a chunky gold watch. Check out Accessorize to grab a few of them. Similar shoes can be found at Charles and Keith (Rs5,000). While her Prada bag is a stylish item on its own, it does not look so appealing with her outfit.
