QUETTA: Police recovered and defused a 30-kg pack of explosives attached with a bicycle in Kechi Baig area of Sariab in Quetta on Wednesday.

Station House Officer of Kechi Baig Police Station, Babar Baloch, told The Express Tribune that local people spotted a suspicious bicycle at Qasim Baloch Stadium and informed the police.

“Police rushed to the site, cordoned off the area and immediately called in Bomb Disposal Squad which defused explosives after one and a half hour,” Baloch said, adding that the explosives were packed in a box and weighed around 30 kilogrammes.

The SHO said that ball bearings and nut-bolts were also attached with the explosives, probably to cause massive destruction in the area.

A case has been registered and further investigations are underway.

The current inflation and sky high prices of goods has hit even the poor terrorists. Just 30 Kg explosives and a bicycle? (end of sarcasm)
