Deadly virus: Upper Sindh’s first dengue patient
His blood samples were sent to Karachi for testing, after which Ghaffar was diagnosed with dengue.

After playing havoc in Lahore and Karachi, dengue crossed into Upper Sindh on Tuesday as the first patient of the year was brought from Shikarpur and admitted in the Sukkur Hospital. Blood samples of another suspected patient have also been sent for screening to Karachi. Abdul Ghaffar, a resident of Shikarpur, was brought to the Sukkur hospital and is being kept under strict observation. He said that a couple of days ago, he contracted high fever and went to the doctor who started the treatment of malaria. Later, his blood samples were sent to Karachi for testing, after which Ghaffar was diagnosed with dengue.
