Unfit to run: Qingqis banned in DHA, Clifton
The ban has been imposed in district South for now but it will be extended to the rest of the city.
KARACHI:
Traffic Police AIG Ghulam Qadir Thebo has banned the movement of Qingqi rickshaws on Sharae Faisal and the roads of DHA and Clifton. He has directed all traffic police officials to ensure the imposition of the ban. Thebo said that Qingqi rickshaws were illegal as they have no fitness certificates. “We are taking these steps for the benefit and security of the public - nothing is more important than human lives.” The ban has been imposed in district South for now but it will be extended to the rest of the city.
