Poisonous yoghurt drink: Child dies, two hospitalised
Police said they had sent samples from the drink for laboratory test.

A child died and two others fainted after drinking poisonous yoghurt drink in Rahim Yar Khan. Rescue officials Sonia Bibi had brought the drink from a neighbour’s house and had kept it uncovered in the kitchen before she drank it and also gave it to her children Sajjad Ahmad, 7, Ijaz Ahmad, 2. They said when her husband returned from work, he found them lying unconscious in the room. They were taken to Shaikh Zayed Hospital, where Sajjad was pronounced dead. The other two were said to be out of danger. Police said they had sent samples from the drink for laboratory test. They said investigations had begun.
